Rehabilitation Deferment

If you are working less than 30 hours and are receiving rehabilitation services, you may be eligible for a rehabilitation deferment.  This deferment postpones payments due on your student loan account while you are in rehab. 

To qualify for a rehabilitation deferment, you must be receiving services through:

bulletA state agency for vocational rehabilitation;
bulletA drug or alcohol abuse treatment program;
bulletA mental health service; or
bulletThe Veterans’ Administration

Your program must be able to provide a letter that describes the services you are receiving.

If you have loans that are serviced by more than one servicer, please print a form for each servicer and print the name or your servicer on each form.  Mail your completed form(s) to us at:
